As a CDL ticket lawyer who is the former holder of a Class-A CDL and who has also worked in other professional driving capacities doing delivery, we know that any person who drives for a living has more at stake than just their insurance rates.  For a professional driver, a traffic ticket on your record can mean the loss of your livelihood.  This is true not just for a holder of a CDL.  It is also true for anyone who is provided a vehicle by their employer such as a work truck, or car, for delivery, or even a mechanic who needs to be able to test drive repaired vehicles.  It also applies to anyone who works as a gig driver. (We can not name the companies as it is a trademark violation) Often a driver does not know the effect a single violation will have on their employment until it is already on their record, by which time it is probably too late.  We regularly get calls from drivers asking us to remove an old CDL ticket or other violation once they have found how it effects them.  Unfortunately, the time to act is when you receive the ticket, not after it is already on your record. Do call us at 206-816-9110, though, as under some circumstances we may be able to still help. If we are successful getting you back into a contested hearing, and at dismissing or reducing your traffic violation, the violation would be removed from your driver’s abstract, and so no longer effect your employment

We defend clients traffic and speeding tickets in District and Municipal Courts throughout King, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston, Skagit, Kitsap and Whatcom Counties.  You can see a list of the court locations which we cover here (If you don’t see your court listed, call us)

Most CDL tickets are either dismissed outright or a change to a non-moving violation is negotiated; with few found committed as written.  The advantage to having a experienced CDL traffic lawyer is that they know how and when to fight, and how and when to deal in order to get the best possible outcome for our client. Hiring a CDL ticket lawyer might seem expensive at first.  The real cost of a CDL traffic ticket is not the fine but rather the increase in insurance costs, and because one ticket might mean the loss of a job. If charged with Reckless Driving or Driving on a Suspended License, there is added fines and penalties, and a criminal record to consider. For more on how we might be able to help you, please call us at 206-816-9110 or fill out the form at the right for a callback to receive your free case evaluation.

As a former professional driver and Class-A CDL holder, Attorney Antone Weber is very aware of the importance and effects of even a single traffic violation.  Prior to law school, he drove summers doing construction in belly dumps and dump trucks.  He worked as a delivery driver at various times for Airbourne Express, DHL and UPS.  He also drove a taxicab while studying for his undergraduate degree in Anchorage, and worked as a legal messenger while in Law School.

Among the violations which we defend are:

  • Logbook Violations

We do most CDL traffic tickets, criminal traffic charges, and administrative driver’s license suspension hearings (DOL hearings).  We are also familiar with FMSCA and DataQ correction.  Our goal is to protect our client’s records, and keep them employed.  We want to get your ticket or charge dismissed, or if not, we seek to reduce your charge to a non-moving violation or or resolutions that minimizes the impact of your traffic ticket or charge.   Not all courts will allow amendments to non-moving infractions for a CDL holder, particularly if the violation occurred while driving commercially instead of in a private vehicle, but we will do everything possible to help you.  CDL holders are not eligible for a deferred findings.
